"On the way back from Superior I stopped here and summited quickly. I should've done the other two points west of here, but Comet Peak looked more interesting so I got back and drove over there. However, it was on US Govt property with a no trespassing sign. " — ZachTeich • Mar 10, 2020
"This was a nice hike and climb at the end. I approached the peak from the southeast and made it to the saddle south of the summit, then climbed up to the top. On the way back I took the use trail from the saddle to the east, then back to the trails I approached on. It was about 2.4 miles round trip and 1:10." — ZachTeich • Mar 7, 2020

"Pretty straightforward trail up to shadow mountain from "Park and Hike" start. There are multiple trails in the area that go around the mountain, but if you keep going straight from the "Park and Hike" trail start without really making any turns on forks, you'll naturally go up to the peak. The last section of the trail requires very some light scrambling, but it's not bad at all." — easotelo1 • Mar 6, 2020
"This peak is nice that it is convenient to home, right off 60, and also a fun little climb. I stayed on solid rock as much as possible going up the steepest section. It was pretty windy on the summit. I then headed over to Peak 2855 to the south and then back to the car. It requires an AZ State Land Trust permit." — ZachTeich • Mar 6, 2020

"I decided to go up Veteran's Mountain for the first time right after work. There doesn't seem to be a trail up, so I followed Lawrence's summit description to the best of my ability to get to the top. He has a great description on getting up and down alongside a photo of the route he took. It was great help! I did end up scrambling in some spots while going to the top as I didn't choose a very optimal route. Coming down I also found an easier route with a lot of loose rock, but it wasn't hard to find spots that provide good footing." — easotelo1 • Mar 5, 2020
